Participating for the First Time in ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Expo Europe Held in Germany

—Dynamic Map Platform’s group companies in Europe and North America collaborate for the first time to participate in an event, attracting approximately 200 visitors—

The group companies of Dynamic Map Platform Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO & President: Shuichi Yoshimura; “Dynamic Map Platform”), Dynamic Map Platform Europe, GmbH (“DMP EU”) and Dynamic Map Platform North America, Inc.(“DMP NA”), collaborated to participate in ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Expo Europe held in Stuttgart, Germany from May 20 to 22. Furthermore, the participation in an exhibition in Europe and the collaboration between overseas group companies for the participation in an event are both new endeavors for the Dynamic Map Platform Group.

The Dynamic Map Platform’s booth provided presentations and explanations on various topics, including the global development of Dynamic Map Platform’s HD maps, which cover expressways in 16 European countries (approximately 255,000km), their utilization in autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in each country, and how they are utilized for simulations in automobile development. Over three days, Dynamic Map Platform’s booth attracted approximately 200 visitors, including not only personnel from the automobile and simulation fields but also providers of various data, such as traffic and weather data, and Europe-based government agencies and research institutes. Comments from the visitors included, “I was very impressed when I learned that HD maps accurate to the centimeter level have been developed on such a wide global level, including in Europe,” “I truly appreciate the provision of various formats required in the simulation field, such as the OpenDRIVE format,” and “I believe that high-precision gradient information can be utilized for reducing fuel consumption and managing electric vehicle batteries.”

Dynamic Map Platform will continue fostering collaborations between its globally expanding group companies and engaging in promotional activities in various settings to introduce High-Precision 3D Map Data and solutions that utilize this data to a wider domestic and international audience.
