Dynamic Map Platform Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO & President: Shuichi Yoshimura; “Dynamic Map Platform”) jointly proposed with Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Eiji Yonezawa; “Oriental Consultants Global”) and was selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT)’s “FY 2025 Smart JAMP Smart City Realization Research and Study Project (Combination of Multiple Element Technologies).”
MLIT is advancing the “Smart City Supported by Japan ASEAN Mutual Partnership (Smart JAMP)” initiative. This initiative provides comprehensive support to facilitate the realization of smart cities in ASEAN member cities. It leverages the technologies and expertise possessed by Japanese companies to conduct project formation surveys, implement demonstration projects, promote financial support, and establish local cooperation frameworks.
Adopted as one of the measures, this project will target airports in Vietnam to investigate solutions to airport operational challenges and the feasibility of smart airport implementation. It will do so by integrating multiple technologies —including “High-Precision 3D Map Data” and “Various Information Port System (VIPS)” provided by Dynamic Map Platform. Furthermore, leveraging Oriental Consultants Global’s expertise in Vietnamese airport operations and local networks, the project will propose a business model integrating these technologies.
In early August, we conducted on-site interviews in Vietnam to identify challenges and needs and held discussions with Vietnamese government agencies and airport-related companies regarding project implementation and potential collaboration. We will continue our investigations and proceed with feasibility studies.

✓High-Precision 3D Map Data
Data capturing 3D positional information and road structure-related information essential for autonomous vehicle operation with centimeter-level precision. Dynamic Map Platform has been entrusted since FY 2023 with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s research and development project “Dynamic Map Development for Public Areas,” one of the initiatives under the Cabinet Office’s “BRIDGE Program: Bridging the Gap between R&D and Society 5.0.” Within this project, we applied High-Precision 3D Map Data for autonomous driving on public roads to generate High-Precision 3D Map Data within airport restricted areas. This will be contribute to the safe operation of autonomous mobility within airports.
✓Various Information Port System (VIPS)
A foundational system that aggregates and integrates various information essential for safe mobility within airport restricted areas (vehicle/equipment locations, hazardous zones, camera data, etc.). Dynamic Map Platform is advancing its development under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR). VIPS supports not only autonomous driving but also the operation of manned vehicles.
- Looking Ahead to the Next Fiscal Year
Dynamic Map Platform and Oriental Consultants Global will continue to advance the implementation of demonstration experiments and further commercialization efforts in the next fiscal year and beyond. This initiative aims to realize smart airport operations not only in Vietnam but across ASEAN countries. Furthermore, we aim to develop the expertise cultivated within airports into data linkage systems connecting various industrial sectors and cities, including ports and other public areas beyond airports, as well as into the provision of seamless autonomous driving services. This will contribute to realizing smart cities in the target regions.
