Accurate 3D data, such as point clouds and vector data, transforms the real world into a digital space, offering vast potential to drive innovation across various industries. However, accessing high-precision 3D data remains challenging and prohibitively expensive, particularly in the realm of mobile mapping data. Terrasolid, renowned for its industry-standard software for point cloud and image processing, and Dynamic Map Platform (DMP), a leading provider of centimetre-class High-Definition maps, are joining forces to create an accessible environment for high-accuracy 3D data. By leveraging Terrasolid’s broad global user base and DMP’s extensive 3D data coverage of major road networks worldwide, we aim to democratize access to this critical resource. Together, we aspire to empower sectors such as road asset management, surveying, and infrastructure modelling by enhancing decision-making processes and enabling efficient management through the provision of DMP’s precise 3D data to Terrasolid’s users.

By collaborating with Terrasolid, DMP can foster broader adoption and more effective utilization of its Point Cloud data and HD maps. This partnership enables DMP to extend its reach into new industries such as road asset management, surveying, engineering, and consulting. This collaboration allows Terrasolid to offer an easily accessible 3D database to its users, enabling them to maximize the value of existing 3D data without significant investment. Consequently, this increases the adoption and market share of Terrasolid’s software products.

Commenting on the partnership, Arttu Soininen, Terrasolid’s CTO, said, ” Global access to HD mobile mapping data takes an important barrier down in the everyday utilization of point clouds, making it easier for organizations to harness detailed, real-world insights. It also promotes efficiency and informed decision-making across industries — a challenge that Terrasolid has long sought to address.

Shuichi Yoshimura, DMP’s CEO and President, stated, ” We are pleased to announce our partnership with Terrasolid to make high-accuracy 3D data more accessible. By combining our expertise in High-Definition maps with Terrasolid’s software, we aim to empower industries with better decision-making tools and drive innovation across various sectors.”

As a platform provider of high-precision 3D data, we will continue to collaborate with a wide range of industries and contribute to the creation of innovations in various industrial fields.
