Dynamic Map Platform Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO & President: Shuichi Yoshimura; “Dynamic Map Platform”) announces the expansion of the formats supported by Dynamic Map Platform’s High-Precision 3D Map Data (HD maps)* to 20 formats. This will contribute to the application of HD Maps to a wider range of industries, such as gaming, simulation, and architecture, and their use across various R&D fields.
HD Maps were developed for autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), but recently, inquiries regarding applications to fields other than autonomous driving have increased. However, it was difficult to support other fields due to the difference in the formats used across applications and industries. In response, Dynamic Map Platform has now expanded the available formats to 20 formats in an effort to facilitate the use of HD Maps for various applications. This includes Unity and Unreal Engine, which are used for entertainment applications, such as gaming and animation, as well as a wide range of other applications, including simulation, architecture, and automobile. This expansion has promoted the use of Dynamic Map Platform’s data in a wider range of fields.
