High-Precision 3D Map Data includes various information required for autonomous car driving. This data can be used in a wide range of industries, from increasingly sophisticated autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to simulator environment development and infrastructure management.

Dynamic Map Platform has been engaging in AI-related initiatives in two directions: AI for Data, which uses AI for High-Precision 3D Map Data generation, and Data for AI, which uses Dynamic Map Platform’s data for AI learning and inference. This time, Dynamic Map Platform is using Azure Databricks in collaboration with Microsoft Japan to accelerate the AI for Data initiative. This aims to increase the automation rate of object identification, extraction, and mapping, and achieve significant cost reduction by streamlining the preparation process. Furthermore, this initiative will be gradually implemented in the development of Dynamic Map Platform’s existing services.
