Dynamic Map Platform Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO & President: Shuichi Yoshimura) announces its participation in the YOXO FESTIVAL 2024 held on Saturday and Sunday, February 3 and 4, 2024.
Organized by the Yokohama Future Organization, the YOXO FESTIVAL is a festival where innovators and creators can gain inspiration and experience excitement by bringing together new ideas and technologies for the “future” and interacting across disciplines.
Dynamic Map Platform set up a booth at the Technology Area established in Landmark Plaza 1F Festival Square. It exhibited Modeling the Minato Mirai, which reconstructs the Yokohama Minato Mirai area in a digital space using Dynamic Map Platform’s High-Precision 3D Data, and Pointoon in Minato Mirai, a shooting game set in the Minato Mirai area, also recreated using High-Precision 3D Data.
Dynamic Map Platform decided to participate in the YOXO FESTIVAL in collaboration with students from Hosei University’s Sociospatial Information Laboratory. This idea was triggered when the students of this laboratory participated in Dynamic Map Platform’s Hackathon in December 2022 and received an award of excellence for proposing the idea that became the base for the shooting game exhibited this time.
On the morning of Saturday 3rd, Takeharu Yamanaka, Mayor of the City of Yokohama, visited and listened to the explanation of Modeling the Minato Mirai by the employees of Dynamic Map Platform.
Additionally, the shooting game Pointoon in Minato Mirai was extremely popular among children. Numbered tickets were given because there was a long line, and a total of over 400 people enjoyed the game on the 3rd and 4th.
In the future, Dynamic Map Platform will continue its promotion activities on various occasions to spread its High-Precision 3D Data and the ways it can be used.
